The Tainted is effectively a RPG (role-playing game), but with the slight difference that there is more action and fighting than usual. There is no linear progression to the game, and you can, in essence, run to the end of the game without having to gather keys or helping NPC's in completing sub-quests. It is, however, extremely unlikely that you will succeed in doing this, because you'll get your butt kicked by the end of level alien bosses. The only way you're going to develop your character enough to be able to take on the alien bosses is by being brave and slaying everything that moves. That's the way the game play flows if anything other than you moves on your screen, it's dangerous and needs to be slaughtered - pretty simple |
